Additional information

There is one short-term aquatic invertebrate study available for 2-amino-2-methyl-1,3-propanediol (AMPD), which was used as key study for the assessment. The study was conducted according the OECD guideline 202 and GLP (M B Claude, 2010). The test organism Daphnia magna was exposed to AMPD in a static system for 48 hours, at the measured test concentrations 0.1, 1.0, 10, 100 1000 mg./L. At 100 mg/l, all the daphnids appeared to have normal mobility and at 1000 mg/l, 8 to 9 out of 10 daphnids appeared lethargic. The EC50 value was therefore estimated to be 316 mg/L using Binomial Probability.
