Test System
The determination was carried out using a procedure* designed to be compatible with Method A.15 Auto-Ignition Temperature (Liquids and Gases) of Commission Regulation (EC) No 440/2008 of 30 May 2008.
Apparatus: Carbolite flask heater

Performance of the Test
The test flask was heated in a flask heater. Aliquots of test item (tested as received) were injected into the flask using a syringe and the flask was observed for signs of ignition over a 300 second period. This procedure was repeated, varying the sample size, as necessary, until the lowest temperature at which ignition, if any, occurred within 300 seconds of insertion, was determined. Where clean flasks were not used, the flask was flushed with air between sample insertions.

Evaluation of Data
The auto-ignition temperature is the lowest temperature that will result in the ignition of the test item after being injected into the test flask.
The room temperature and atmospheric pressure is recorded for each day of the test.
