Description of key information

The test substance decomposes.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

In the key study (BASF SE, 2011) decomposition beginning at approx. 204 °C was found by thermal analysis (DSC).

In the supporting study (BASF SE, 2001) the boiling point was determined according to OECD guideline 103. The test substance showed decomposition under conditions of the preliminary test: Discoloration was observed at temperatures above 185 °C (about 458 K). Up to the maximum temperature of 230 °C (about 503 K), no defined boiling point according to the guideline was observed.
