Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The substance under registration is a liquid that melts between 4 and 5.82 °C at 1 atm and boils between 240 and 245 °C.

Its relative density is between 1.4 and 1.5 at 20 °C and the vapour pressure ranges from 0.23 to 4.42 Pa at 25 °C . No water solubity was measured as the substance quickly hydrolyzes in water. For this reason the LogKow was estimated and the calculated value is between 4.4 and 4.54 at 20 °C. The flash point was found to be > 110 °C at 1 atm while its self-ignition temperature is above 500 °C at 1 atm. In addition considering its chemical structure the substance is not expected to be explosive nor oxidising.

Experience in handling with this substance suggests a potential ability to corrode metals. For this reason, in a conservative approach, it has been classified as "Corrosive to metals".
