Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Acute toxicity on fish, and on aquatic invertebrate (Daphnia) tests were performed on the Similar substance 01. A Lemna ecotoxicity value is available on the Similar substance 03 (read-across from supporting substance -structural analogue or surrogate).

Fish acute toxicity

The Similar substance 01 was tested to fish (Brachydanio rerio, Zebrafish), according to the OECD Test guidelines 203 and EEC Directive, Annex V, Part .C.1.

LC50 at 96 h was 837 ppm (mg/L) as nominal values (graphically determinated).

Based on the read-across principle, the results can be considered for the fish short-term toxicity assessment of the registered substance.

Justification for read-across is detailed in the report attached to the IUCLID section 13.

Invertebrate acute toxicity

The Similar substance 01 was tested for its acute toxicity to Daphnia magna, according to the Guideline 202, Part I of the DEED and to the Directive B4/449 EEC.

The EC50 value was estimated to be >1000 mg/L for the respective exposure period 48 hours.

Based on the read-across principle, the results can be considered for the invertebrates short-term toxicity assessment of the registered substance.

Justification for read-across is detailed in the report attached to the IUCLID section 13.

Aquatic Plants toxicity

The Similar substance 03 was tested for its acute toxicity to Lemna Minor, according to the Guideline OECD 221.

The ECr50 value was estimated to be 100 mg/L for the respective exposure period, 7 days.

Based on the read-across principle, the results can be considered for the aquatic plants toxicity assessment of the registered substance.

Justification for read-across is detailed in the report attached to the IUCLID section 13.

Microrganisms

The Similar substance 01 was tested for its toxicity on sludge according to the OECD Test guidelines OECD Test Method 209, “Activated Sludge, Respiration Inhibition Test”, and ETAD Method 103. The IC50 (3 h) was > 100 mg/L.

Based on the read-across principle, the results can be considered for the microorganisms toxicity assessment of the registered substance.

Justification for read-across is detailed in the report attached to the IUCLID section 13.
