Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

The partition coefficient of the test material was to be investigated in a study which was performed under GLP conditions and in accordance with the standardised guideline OECD 107 or OECD 117. The study was assigned a reliability score of 2 in accordance with the criteria for assessing data quality set forth by Klimisch et al. (1997).

Consideration of the chemical structure and physical properties of the test material would lead to difficulties in determining a reliable partition coefficient. Results from the water solubility test gave a solubility of <0.05 µg/mL.  On the basis that the solubility in the aqueous phase was very low and a method with sufficient sensitivity does not exist; it was therefore not technically feasible to perform a solubilty test. Based on this it was decided to calculate partition coefficient values using the Estimation Program Interface EPI ver. 4.1 developed by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) (US EPA 2012). EPI Suite is used in the US EPA Pollution Prevention framework for the review of pre-manufacturing notice chemicals under the Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) and for the evaluation of the potential for chemicals to have persistent, bioaccumulative and toxic properties.

The test material was calculated to have a partition coefficient (Log Kow) of 13.9396.
