Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

pKa1 = 9.82 at 25 °C
pKa2 = 6.61 at 25 °C

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Several pKa values are available for both dissociation events in the literature. A WoE approach was created for five different literatures. The values are in good agreement.

For the event between the neutral species and the singly-protonated (pKa1) the values are in a range of 9.82 - 10.

For the event between the singly-protonated species and the doubly-protonated (pKa2) the values are in a range of 6.61 - 7.13.

The values of Xiong, Dazhen et al (2013) were choosed as specific values.

The pka values indicate that the molecule will exist primarily as a cation in the environment.
