One experimental study according to the OECD guideline 301 B indicated that the substance (CAS 72869-86-4) is not readily biodegradable (22% biodegradation after 28 d). Degradation via abiotic hydrolysis increases with increasing pH from 9.8 - 10.8 y at pH 4 to 0.29 d at pH 9, as calculated for the two main constituents of the substance via SPARC v4.6. Considering the low water solubility (11.29 mg/L), the moderate log Koc values ranging between 2.46 and 3.66 (KOCWIN) and the low vapour pressure of 2.62E-4 Pa,the substance is expected to mainly target organic soil and sediment particles as well as the water column in a lower extend.
