There is minimal direct and indirect exposure to soil from the use of CGE-PMDA adduct. The expsoure assessment considers expsure from soil primarily from the use of STP sludge as fertiliser. This practice is regulated and not permited for contaminated sludge in the EU.

The risk characterisation for soil has been performed using equilibrium partitioning method. This conservative approach did not indicate a need to further investigate the effects of the substance and/or degradation products on terrestrial organisms. In line with Annex IX Column 2, further testing of short-term toxicity to soil organisms is not considered necessary.
