Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

The equation of the vapour pressure regression curve of the log PT of the test item as function of the temperatures was :

log PT= -5498 x 1/T + 13.54 (r = 0.998, n = 8).

The results of the isothermal TGA analysis for the test item and the vapour pressure at 20°C and 25°C are given in Table 1 and Table 2.

The weight losses of the test item were obtained with a temperature program above the melting temperature of the test item. According to this, the vapour pressure of the test item (which was, according to the method, extrapolated to 20°C and 25°C) could be slightly overestimated.

Conclusions:
The vapour pressure of the test item was ≤ 6×10-6 Pa at 20°C, and ≤ 1.2 ×10-5 Pa at 25°C.
Executive summary:

The vapour pressure of the test item (= REACH substance) was determined in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordancen with EC A.4 method and OECD Guideline No. 104, using the isothermal TGA effusion method. The vapour pressure of the test item was determined to be ≤ 6.0×10-6 Pa at 20°C, and ≤ 1.2 ×10-5 Pa at 25°C. As the weight losses were obtained with a temperature program above the melting temperature of the test item, the vapour pressure (which was extrapolated to 20°C and 25°C) could be slightly overestimated.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of the registered substance was determined in a GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with EC A.4 method and OECD Guideline No. 104, using the isothermal TGA effusion method. The vapour pressure was determined to be ≤ 6.0×10-6 Pa at 20°C, and ≤ 1.2 ×10-5 Pa at 25°C. As the weight losses were obtained with a temperature program above the melting temperature of the test item, the vapour pressure (which was extrapolated to 20°C and 25°C) could be slightly overestimated.

Additional information

The vapour pressure of the test item was investigated in one GLP-compliant study performed in accordance with standard methods, without deviations. The study is considered as reliable (Klimisch 1) and is selected as a key study for the endpoint.
