Results and discussion
Flash point
- Key result
- Remarks on result:
- no flash point up to 100°C
Any other information on results incl. tables
No flash-point was observed below 111 °C, the temperature at which the test item shows significant evaporation.
Applicant's summary and conclusion
- Interpretation of results:
- GHS criteria not met
- Conclusions:
- Novec 7700 has no flash point up to 111 °C according to EU Method A.9.
- Executive summary:
The flash point of Novec 7700 was tested using a closed-cup method. Starting at 25 °C, an attempt was made to ignite the vapour of the test substance for every 2 °C temperature rise. No flash was observed below 111 °C, at which temperature the test item showed significant evaporation. The study was conducted in accordance with EU Method A.9 and was GLP compliant; therefore the study is considered reliable without restrictions.
