Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Reproductive ability of daphnids surviving exposure to the test material is not significantly altered

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

Poor reproduction and unexplainable results in 1000 mg/L treatment group rendered data unacceptable during an OECD guideline study. However, a supporting study with some reliability issues concluded that, although the test material might show some chronic toxicity to Daphnia magna, reproductive ability (and sub-lethal toxicity) of daphnids surviving exposure was not significantly altered.

It is difficult to draw firm conclusions about the chronic toxicity of this material and sub-lethal effects based on these data, however it would appear that the material does not target sub-lethal or reproductive systems in the invertebrates over a prolonged exposure period.
