Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

One study is available investigating the short-term toxicity of isononyl isononanoate to freshwater fish (Fraunhofer Institute for Molecular Biology and Applied Ecology (IME), 2013). In the 96 h acute toxicity test, conducted according to the OECD guideline 203, zebrafish (Danio rerio) were exposed to a Water Accommodated Fraction (WAF) of the test item Isononyl isononanoate at a nominal loading concentration of 100 mg/L under semi-static conditions. Neither clinical signs nor mortality were observed throughout the study. Seven fish were used for treatment and in the control. Based on the results of this study, the LL50 of Isononyl isononanoate was determined to be > 100 mg test item/L. The NOEC based on the visual observation is reported as ≥ 100 mg/L (NOEL ≥ 100 mg/L).
