Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

1 DPRA assay, 1 Keratinosense assay

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Skin sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Additional information:

An assessment for Skin sensitising potential for the main constituents of this substance was made using DEREK and OASIS Times. For OASIS Times, none of th emain constituents were within domain and so no prediction could be maded. DEREK identified no alerts for sensitising potential.

A Keratinosense assay was performed to assess the potential to activate keratinocytes in vitro. This assay was positive, indicating a this substance may be a skin sensitiser.

The DPRA assay was subsequently performed to assess protein reactivty. This assay was negative indicating that the parent compounds (i.e. not metabolites) do not appear to be able to react with protiens. However it is possible that metabolism could be converting one or more of the main constituents of this material into a more reactive compound. Metabolic activation was not incorporated into this assay.

Respiratory sensitisation

Endpoint conclusion
Endpoint conclusion:
no study available

Justification for classification or non-classification

WoE indicates substance is not a skin sensitiser.
