Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The effects of 1,1-Dimethylpropyl 1-methoxycyclohexyl peroxide to Daphnia magna exposed for a duration of 48h with static conditions were assessed according to the OECD 202 Guideline and GLP requirements.

Daphnids were exposed to serial dilutions of a saturated stock solution of the test item prepared with slow-stirring conditions described in the OECD 123 guideline due to the characteristics of the substance. Chemical analysis of the test item throughout the test period showed that the measured concentrations remained constant (80-120% of initial) under the test conditions. Based on these results, the exposure concentrations were based on the initial measured concentrations: the 48h-EC50 was calculated as 7.9 mg/L (7.1 – 8.8).

The definitive test met the validity criteria of the test guideline detailed as follows:

- The immobilisation in the control did not exceed 10% at the end of the test (0%),

- The dissolved oxygen concentrations remained above 3 mg/L over the test period (above 8.3 mg/L).
