Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Remarks on result:
other: weighted average log Pow
Details on results:
Individual results:
-Calculation of the partition coefficient log Pow (KOWWIN):
The value was 5.52; therefore, the partition coefficient n-octanol/water of the test substances at room temperature was determined by the HPLC method.
- HPLC method
The log Pow for the 1st and the 2nd injections were both 4.18. The mean log Pow for impurities was 3.70. The weighed average log Pow was calculated and found to be 4.1.
Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the log Pow of the test substance was determined to be 4.1 at 25°C (HPLC method).
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the n-octanol/water partition coefficient of the test substance according to OECD Guideline 117 and EU Method A.24. The HPLC method was used. This method is based on the correlation between the retention of a substance on a reversed phase column and the n-octanol/water partition coefficient Pow (which is estimated by the ratio between the saturation concentrations of the test substance in n-octanol and water). The experiments were performed in duplicates. Under the study conditions, the log Pow of the test substance was determined to be 4.1 at 25°C (Dornhagen, 2016).

Description of key information

The partition coefficient was determined according to OECD Guideline 117 and EU Method A.24 (n-octanol/water partition coefficient - HPLC) (Dornhagen, 2016).
