Additional information

The constituents of this substance have no hydrolysable structural features and would be expected to be stable in water. Oxidation would not be expected under normal environmental conditions.

Estimated half-lives ranging between ca. 20-30 hours for photodegradation by hydroxyl radicals in the air are for the constituent alcohols.

C9-C11 alcohols branched and linear and their structural analogues are readily biodegradable and there is consistent evidence of very rapid biotransformation in aquatic and terrestrial substrates.

In view of the ready biodegradability, no further information on abiotic removal processes is necessary.
