First-aid measures

General advice: Take off contaminated clothing and shoes immediately. Consult a physician for severe cases.

If inhaled: Oxygen or artificial respiration if needed.

In case of skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of water.

In case of eye contact: Rinse immediately with plenty of water, also under the eyelids, for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician immediately.

If swallowed: Drink plenty of water. Induce vomiting, but only if victim is fully conscious.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet, Foam, Dry powder, Carbon dioxide (CO2)

Unsuitable extinguishing media: High volume water jet

Specific hazards during firefighting: Fire may cause evolution of: Carbon oxides

When extinguishing with water pay attention to caustic burns.

Vapour/air-mixtures are explosive at intense warming.

Further information: Prevent fire extinguishing water from contaminating surface water or the ground water system.

Special protective equipment for firefighters: In the event of fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus. Use personal protective equipment.

Accidental release measures

Personal Precautions:

Use personal protective equipment.

Enviromental Precautions:

Do not flush into surface water or sanitary sewer system.

Methods for cleaning or taking up:

Cover spilt product with liqiud-binding material (sand, silica gel, acid binder, universal binder, hybilat). Take up mechanically and fill into labelled, closed containers.

Further accidental release measures:

Keep away from/remove sources of ignition.

Handling and storage

Handling:

Avoid formation of aerosol. Only handle product with local exhaust ventilation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing.

Take measures to prevent the build up of electrostatic charge. Keep away from open flames, hot surfaces and sources of ignition.7.2 Conditions for safe storagConditions for safe storage, including any incompatibilities

Respiratory protection: full mask with filter ABEK-ST (ABEK-P3)

Eye protection: safety glasses with side-shields

Hand protection: During the handling of the substance according to the intended use protection gloves from nitrile rubber have been proved. During the handling of pure solid substances or powder mixtures a permeation of the rubber material is not to be expected. In case of doubt, especially

during handling of the substance together with organic solvents, the stability of the protection gloves has to be clarified with the manufacturer.

Skin and body protection: Choose body protection according to the amount and concentration of the dangerous substance at the work place.

Stability and reactivity

Condition to avoid: Heat, Exposure to moisture

Materials to avoid: Oxidizing agents

Hazardous reactions with: Water, Strong acids, Strong bases, oxidization agents, Reducing agents

Disposal considerations

Product: Dispose of as special waste in compliance with local and national regulations
