Additional information

The EC50 for the toxicity to daphnia magna was set to 0.57 mg/l.
The EC 50 growth rate for algae was set to 0.21 mg/l.

According to the table 4.1.0 of the CLP Regulation (EC n. 1272/2008), a substance for wich adequate chronic toxicity data are not available shall be classified as Aquatic Acute and Chronic 1 when:

96 hr LC50 (for fish) < 1 mg/l and/or

48 hr EC50 (for crustacea) < 1 mg/l and/or

72 or 96 hr ErC (for algae or other aquatic plants) < 1 mg/l

There is also an acute toxicity test on fish which indicates a value of LD50 of 3.14 mg/l.

Taking into account the information available for the target substance, the classification proposed is Aquatic Acute and Chronic 1.
