Guidance on Safe Use
Administrative data
First-aid measures
inhaled: Remove to fresh air. No artificial respiration, mouth-to-mouth or mouth to nose. Use suitable instruments/apparatus. Get immediate medical advice/ attention.
In case of skin contact: Wash off immediately with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Get medical attention if symptoms occur. Wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
In case of eye contact: In case of contact, immediately flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. Call a physician or poison control centre immediately.
If swallowed: If swallowed, DO NOT induce vomiting unless directed to do so by medical personnel.
Fire-fighting measures
Advice for firefighters: Wear an approved positive pressure self-contained breathing apparatus in addition to standard fire fighting gear.
Suitable extinguishing media: Use water spray to extinguish. Dry chemical. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Foam
Unsuitable extinguishing media: Water spray jet.
Avoid unnecessary run-off of extinguishing media which may cause pollution.
Accidental release measures
Use personal protective equipment.
Use low sparking hand tools and intrinsically safe equipment.
Avoid release to the environment. Contain spillage, soak up with non-combustible absorbent material, (e.g. sand, earth, diatomaceous earth, vermiculite) and transfer to a container for disposal according to local / national regulations. If substance has entered a water course or sewer, inform the responsible authority.
Handling and storage
Handle in accordance with good industrial hygiene and safety practice.
Do not breathe vapours or spray mist. Do not taste or swallow. Use only with adequate ventilation. Wash thoroughly after handling.

Exposure controls / personal protection
a) the substance should be rigorously contained by technical means during its whole lifecycle including manufacture, purification, cleaning and maintenance of equipment, sampling, analysis, loading and unloading of equipment or vessels, waste disposal or purification and storage;
b) procedural and control technologies shall be used that minimize emission and any resulting exposure;
c) only properly trained and authorized personnel should handle the substance;
d) in the case of cleaning and maintenance works, special procedures such as purging and washing should be applied before the system is opened and entered;
e) in cases of accident and where waste is generated, procedural and/or control technologies should be used to minimize emissions and the resulting exposure during purification or cleaning and maintenance procedures;
j) substance-handling procedures should be well documented and strictly supervised by the site operator.
Stability and reactivity
Stable under normal conditions.
Materials to avoid: Strong oxidizing agents; Strong reducing agents; Strong acids; Strong bases.
Conditions to avoid: Heat, flames and sparks.
Disposal considerations
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
