First-aid measures

Eye contact: Rinse eyes thoroughly with running water (approximately 15 minutes) and consult a physician if any symptoms persist.
Skin contact: Rinse skin immediately with copious amounts of water. Immediately remove contaminated clothing. Consult a physician if any symptoms develop.
Inhalation: Consult a physician if irritating symptoms develop and persist.
Ingestion: Only as long as the patient is fully conscious: wash mouth and have the victim drink copious amounts of water (Often vomiting will be induced). Consult a physician if feeling sick and show the label.

Fire-fighting measures

Suitable extinguishing media: all
Extinguishing media, not to be used: high volume water jet
Special protective equipment for firefighters: wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective suit.

Accidental release measures

Personal precautions: Wear heavy protective equipment. Minimize number of personnel in risk area. Keep away unprotected persons. Wear chemical-proof clothes and masks while undressing contaminated persons or cleaning contaminated equipment.
Environmental precautions: firefighting water may not spill into open rivers and ponds. Collect spilled material by all available means. Should not be released into the environment.
Methods for cleaning: Moisten spilled material with water (in order to avoid dust formation), cover with wet sand or wetted binder, then take up. Wash away remains with plenty of water. Put into lead-sealable and labelled drums.

Handling and storage

Preventative precautions: observe the usual precautionary measures required for chemicals with dust explosive properties (Observe national regulations)

Exposure controls / personal protection

Industrial hygiene: do not breathe dust. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Open handling: Wear full fact mask (EN136) with P3 filter (EN143). Normal length chemical-mechanical-resistant gloves (EHN374/EN388) worn over disposable gloves. Additional protection: Disposable dust-proof suit (EN465,type 4) worn over long underwear disposable boot covers.

Stability and reactivity

Isoperibolic decomposition: stable up to 1300C.
Dynamic decomposition: exothermie: 3200C.
Combustibility test: does not ignite at 200C.
Dust explosion: weak dust explosive.
Drop-weight test: negative

Disposal considerations

Disposal requirements: Incineration in an approved, controlled furnace. Observe: fire hazard data, physical and corrosion data.
Container disposal: For disposal local regulation is binding.
