Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Conclusion on classification

Environmental classification is assessed based on the lowest acute and chronic values from substance specific ecotoxicity test data.

The lowest acute value is an EC50 of 4.38 mg tris(triphenylphosphine)rhodium (I) chloride/L for algae. The lowest chronic value is an EC10 of 0.82 mg tris(triphenylphosphine)rhodium (I) chloride/L for algae.

These threshold values are used for classification purposes. The substance is a soluble metal compound. The corresponding environmental classification is based on the above mentioned chronic and acute ERV values is:

Acute aquatic hazard: Not classified (based on Acute ERV > 1 mg/L)

Chronic aquatic hazard: Aquatic Chronic 2 (based on 0.1<Chronic ERV >= 1 mg/L).

Since chronic aquatic effects data are only available for algae, the chronic aquatic hazard is also determined based on the acute ERV:

Chronic aquatic hazard: Aquatic Chronic 2 (based on 1<acute ERV(compound)<=10 mg/L)

The most conservative environmental classification is maintained, and the substance is classified as:

Acute aquatic hazard: Not classified

Chronic aquatic hazard: Aquatic Chronic 2 (H411)
