Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Endpoint:
oxidising liquids
Data waiving:
study scientifically not necessary / other information available
Justification for data waiving:
the study does not need to be conducted because there are no chemical groups present in the molecule which are associated with oxidising properties and hence, the classification procedure does not need to be applied

Description of key information

According to "Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment Chapter R.7a: Endpoint specific guidance", β€œFor the majority of substances, oxidising properties are not a concern and testing can be waived based on a consideration of the structure..” In chapter R.7a a table (Table R.7.1-29) of chemical groups associated with oxidising properties is given. The registered substance does not contain any of these chemical groups. Therefore, based on structure, this substance does not have oxidising properties.

Study scientifically not necessary. The study does not need to be conducted since there are no chemical groups present in the molecure which are associated with oxidising properties and hence the classification procedure does not need to be applied.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Oxidising properties:
non oxidising
