Conclusions:
Under the study conditions, the viscosity of the test substance was determined to be 835 Pa.s (shear rate = 20 s-1) at 23°C.
Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the viscosity of the test substance using a stress-controlled rotationl rheometer (method similar to OECD Guideline 114). Samples with low viscosities were measured with a double-gap system whereas high viscosity liquids were measured with a cone plate or single gap device. A few measurements were conducted over a shear rate range between 1 and 100 s-1. When the flow is Newtonian (i.e. the viscosity is independent of shear rate), which is usually the case for acrylate resins, the viscosity is returned at 20 or 100 s-1. The temperature was 23.0 °C and was controlled within 0.1°C. Under the study conditions, the viscosity of the test substance was determined to be 835 Pa.s (shear rate = 20 s-1) at 23°C (Herssens, 2014).

Description of key information
