Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

The vapour pressure of complexation products of sodium tartrate with iron trichloride at 20°C is 2.10 kPa.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Vapour pressure:
2.1 kPa
at the temperature of:
20 °C

Additional information

The indicated vapour pressure, viz. ca. 2.1 kPa, is the value for the vapour pressure of water. This means that – like a salt solution – if it would evaporate, only the water will evaporate, the salt will stay behind and will not evaporate. This is the same for complexation products of sodium tartrate with iron trichloride being a solution of water with non-volatile ingredients.
