Details on results:
Water solubility values of approximately 0.4 and 1.6 mg C/l were found at the low and high test loadings respectively. The slight increase in solubility with loading indicated that minor components or impurities would mainly have contributed to these values. Based on structure, the solubility of the test substance itself was anticipated to be much lower. Computer modelling (US EPA WSKOWWIN QSAR model v1.42, 2010) indicated a water solubility of 2.3 x 10E-9 mg/L for the main component of the test material. The calculated values for the other components were in a similarly low range (0.31 x 10E-9 to 5.2 x 10E-9 mg/L).
