PBT assessment: overall result

PBT status:
the substance is not PBT / vPvB
Justification:

The PBT assessment is based on the available data for the substance. The substance is classified as readily biodegradable and does not fulfil the criteria of persistency and is not very persistent.

A study on bioconcentration with a similar substance showed no uptake of the test substance and the BCF was below 500. Therefore, significant accumulation of the registered substance in fish is not expected and the test substance is not considered to fulfil the criteria of bioaccumulation.

The substance causes no toxic effects in the studies with aquatic organisms. The tested concentration (at the limit of water solubility) are above the criteria of 0.01 mg/L. The substance is not classified as mutagenic, carcinogenic or toxic for reproduction according to CLP regulation EC No.1272/2008. Therefore, the substance does not exhibit toxic properties.

Overall, the substance is not considered to have PBT or vPvB properties and does not fulfil the criteria for PBT or vPvB.
