Additional information

Acute toxic effects of 2,6-dimethylcyclohexylamine (CAS 6850-63-1) to aquatic invertebrates were studied in a non-GLP study following the method laid down in Directive 79/831/EEC method C.2 using Daphnia magna as test species (BASF AG, 1987; report no.: 1/0306/2/87-0306). Based on nominal test concentrations the 48-h EC50 was determined to be 36.29 mg/L.

2,6-dimethylcyclohexylamine is concluded to be acutely harmful to aquatic invertebrates.
