- The terrestrial toxicity of the target substance was assessed by based on the grouping of substances (category approach). Based on the available read-across data a NOEC (56 d) was ≥ 750 mg a.i./kg soil dw is assumed for the target substance.
- Executive summary:
The toxicity of the target substance to soil macroorganisms was assessed by read-across based on the grouping of substances (category approach). The available data were used for a general assessment of the toxicity of the Alcohol Ethoxylates (AE) category substances to terrestrial organisms. Based on the available data no adverse effects on soil macroorganisms are expected. A GLP guideline study following OECD GD 222, determined no effects on survival rate, body weight or reproduction of Eisenia fetida. The determined NOEC (56 d) was ≥ 750 mg a.i./kg soil dw.
