Additional information

The substances in the lithium salts of dicarboxylic acids C6-C10 category have a low potential for bioaccumulation based on log Kow <=3. The log Pow value for dilithium adipate is <-0.9 based on adipate and <-3.5 based on lithium. The log Pow value for dilithium azelate is -3.3 based on azelate and <-4.0 based on lithium. The log Pow value for dilithium sebacate is -2.1 based on sebacate and <-3.1 based on lithium.

Furthermore, the substances in the lithium salts of dicarboxylic acids C6 -C10 are readily biodegradable and, with a BCF of around 8 L/kg in freshwater fish (Barber et al. 2006), the lithium ions in the substances have a low potential for bioaccumulation in the environment.
