Description of key information

The test item showed colour change from yellow to orange from 200°C to 220°C and turned into red coloured liquid at 240°C. Since, no string of bubbles observed till 250°C, mean boiling point was found to be greater than 250°C at 975.0 hPa

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Boiling point at 101 325 Pa:
250 °C

Additional information

The boiling point determination of Test item 1,3-isobenzofurandione, reaction products with methylquinoline and quinoline (CAS No. 8003-22-3 ) was done as per the test guideline OECD 103. The method followed was according toSiwoloboff. The test item showed colour change from yellow to orange from 200°C to 220°C and turned into red coloured liquid at 240°C. Since, no string of bubbles observed till 250°C, mean boiling point was found to be greater than 250°C at 975.0 hPa
