EPI Suite has estimated that C.I. FOOD BLACK 1 is expected to be found predominantly in soil and its very persistence estimate is based on its transformation in this medium. Its half-life in soil, 360 days (8640 hrs), exceeds the threshold of 120 days as per Annex XIII of REACH.Therefore, C.I. FOOD BLACK 1 is estimated to be very persistent in the soil environment.
