Description of key information

The test item is with high probability not acutely harmful to aquatic algae. No toxic effects occur within the range of solubility.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

To assess the toxicity to aquatic algae a GLP guideline study according OECD 201 using Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata has been conducted (DR. U. NOACK-LABORATORIEN 2015). Due to the low solubility of the test item a saturated solution (loading rate = 10 mg/L) has been used for the limit test. Furthermore, no concentration control analysis was performed, since the water solubility is below the analytical limit of determination.

However, no effects ocurred within the range of solubility after 72 h of exposure. Therefore, the ErC10 and the ErC50 were determined to be > 10 mg/L (nominal, loading rate).
