Administrative data

First-aid measures

Inhalation: remove patient to fresh air and seek medical attention if irritation occours.
Eye contact: flush eyes immediately with flowing water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
Skin contact: flush skin affected area with soap and water. Remove any contaminated clothing or shoes and seek medical attention.
Ingestion: wash out mouth with water and seek immediately medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Extinguishing media: water spray, dry chemical and carbon dioxide.
Specific hazard: toxic gases and vapors such as COx, SOx may be released in fire.
Firefighting instructions: keep personnel removed from and upwind of fire. Wear full fire-fighting turnout gear (full bunker gear) and respiratory protection.

Accidental release measures

During the work, wear the personal protective equipments.
Prevent spills from entering sewers or watercourses.
Collect released or spilled liquid in sealable containers and wipe out remaining liquid with absorbent materials.

Handling and storage

During the work wear the PPE. Avoid rough handling. Ventilate the area properly. Always keep the drum in an upright position and do not roll the drum on its side.
Store in an original container in dry, dark and cool area. Do not store near high temperature boilers, heaters or pipes.

The Registrant Company is regularly inspected by Authorities and Private Institutes.
The strictly controlled conditions are required both by the quality regulations (good manufacturing practices) and by the legal norms related with Health & Safety on the working places.
Sampling procedure (Warehouse ): Laminar flow/powder containment booth and HEPA filter (controlled area) are used to sample the starting material.
Analysis: Sample preparation and analysis are performed inside aspirated fume hood.
Dispensing : Laminar flow/powder containment booth and HEPA filter (controlled area) are used to dispense the material into drums.
Loading of material: Enclosed and vented charging system is used. The material contained into the closed drums is loaded directly into the reactor via pneumatic transfert. The empty container is closed, removed from the box and sent to authorized external disposal.
Reactions: all reactions are performed in a closed system.

Exposure controls / personal protection

Periodical course for safe handling of materials and equipment, GMP procedure, emergency procedure for all operators and in case of new employees or change in the job or new products to be manufactured are performed. A specific SOP for the training of the personnel is in force.
All personnel handling the substance have access to MSDS of raw materials, intermediates and finished products.
Only properly trained and authorised personnel handle the substance

Stability and reactivity

Stable at room temperature.

Disposal considerations

Control of emissions:
From the reaction equipments: collected by pipes to a waste gas incinerator
From the working environment: waste vapours are collected by pipes to the scrubber treatment. The waste scrubber solution is then disposed of by incineration.
