Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Description of key information

Adsorption to solid soil phase is expected.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Additional information

The adsorption / desorption behaviour of the substance was tested in a study according to the OECD guideline 106. Based on the technical factors combined with the fact that the item itself precipitated in presence of CaCl2, it was concluded that it is not possible to perform a valid and successful OECD 106 study. Nevertheless, the single pretest results clearly demonstrated that the substance highly adsorbed to soil.

Calculations of the log Koc of both components of the substance by several calculation models was performed. The calculations were either based on the water solubility or on log Pow of the components. Three different calculations based on water solubility were performed for the mono- and the diester respectively. Furthermore the log Koc for the mono- and diester was calculated by four different models based on log Pow. The overall mean of all seven calculations was 4.1 (log Koc) for the monoester and 4.2 (log Koc) for the diester.

Additionally, calculations with KocWin v2.00 using experimentally determined user entered log Kow values of 5.9 (monoester) and 4.6 (diester) revealed 3.5 (log Koc) for the monoester and 3.3 (log Koc) for the diester.
