Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Experimental data on the toxicity of Amides, C18, branched and linear to aquatic microorganisms are not available. In accordance with the Guidance on information requirements and chemical safety assessment (Chapter R.7b: Endpoint specific guidance, ECHA 2014) the assessment is based on the toxicity control of the available ready biodegradability study. The toxicity control contained 13.1 mg test item/L and 17.1 mg sodium benzoate/L. After 14 days a biodegradation rate of 63% was attained. At test termination a degradation rate of 67% was determined. The results demonstrate that the test item did not exhibit an inhibitory effect on the sewage treatment micro-organisms used in the test. Since more than 63% degradation occurred in the toxicity control, the substance is with high probability not toxic to aquatic microorganisms. The test item concentration in the toxicity control of 13.1mg/L can be used as NOEC value for the toxicity to aquatic microorganisms.
