The determination of the surface tension of the test item was based on OECD Guideline No. 115: “Surface Tension of Aqueous Solutions” (1995) and on the EEC Directive 92/69, Part A, methods for the determination of physio-chemical properties, A5 “Surface Tension”, EEC Publication No. L383, December 1992. The purpose of the study was to evaluate the surface tension of an aqueous solution of FAT 36156/D by means of a Tensiometer (Wilhelmy Plate Method).


Based on the findings of the study, the surface tension of FAT 36156/D TE was determined to be 75.314 mN/m at 20 °C. The variation of specification factor was 0.005657 mN/m.

Description of key information
