Additional information

An acute immobilization test was performed to evaluate the toxicity of the test substance to Danio rerio under static conditions, according to EU Method C.1, which is equivalent to OECD Guideline 203, in compliance with GLP. Groups of ten fish were exposed to a limit test nominal concentration 100 mg/L dissolved in water. Observations were made on the numbers of dead fish and the incidence of sub-lethal effects after 2, 24, 48, 72 and 96 h. Test concentrations were verified analytically by HLPC. The highest test concentration resulting in 0% mortality (LC0, 96h) was100 mg/L. Under the conditions of the study, the 96 h EC0 (and thus EC50) of the test substance was ≥100 mg/L (equivalent to 101.9 mg/L mean measured concentration) (Bruns, 2005a).
