First-aid measures

Emergency measure - Inhalation: In the case of the inhalation of vapours, persons must be
immediately removed from the area of risk and allowed to
inhale fresh air.
Emergency measure - Eyes: With the eyelids open, rinse using large amounts of water
and, where necessary, seek medical attention from an eye
specialist.
Emergency measure - Skin: If the skin is moistened, cleanse using large amounts of
water and soap or other agents which are kind to the skin.
If necessary, take a shower. The soiled protective clothing
and other clothes must be changed.
Emergency measure - Ingestion: Seek medical attention.

Fire-fighting measures

Recommended extinguishing agent: Water, foam, powder-type extinguishing agents, CO2. No
restriction is placed on the choice of extinguishing agent.
It depends on the extent of the fire and on local
conditions.

Product arising from burning: Carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide can arise from thermal
decomposition.

Protective equipment: Protective suits and respirators, dependent on the extent of
the fire and local conditions.

Accidental release measures

Emergency measures in case of spillage: Take up spilled or leaked solution using absorbent material
and put into labelled containers. Take up residues with
water and also collect in labelled containers. Disposal
should be effected in accordance with the local, official
regulations, e.g. by means of incineration.

Handling and storage

Handling: The precautionary measures customary when handling chemicals
must be observed.


Suitable work clothes, rubber gloves and goggles must be
worn in all work sections in which there is the possibility
of contact with the skin.

Storage: The product must be stored in dry conditions at room
temperature. Storage areas must be maintained according to
the principles of good industrial hygiene. All opened
packages must be tightly closed after use. Product residues
on the packages must be avoided.

Remarks:
Transport: In terms of chemical structure it is not a hazardous product
to transport. Proper transportation without special hazard
is thereby ensured if the measures which usually apply in
the transportation of products of this kind, such as the use
of unbreakable containers, safeguarding the containers
against falling and labelling in accordance with the
regulations, are observed. The substance has a slight odour.
It must be protected from the wet and kept separate from
foods and tobacco.

Industry - Possibility of recovery/recycling: Recovery or reutilization is not possible in practice

substance does not represent a hazard if used as proposed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction: controlled discharge: It is possible to deposit the substance in seepage-proof
waste disposal sites. Relevant laws and local regulations
must be observed.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - incineration: Incineration is the form of disposal preferred and
recommended by us. The waste gases which normally occur in
the incineration of organic compounds containing oxygen are
produced here.

Industry - Possibility of destruction - water purification: In proposed and foreseeable uses the substance only enters
the wastewater in small amounts and, on account of its
proven biodegradability, is removed by means of disposal via
biological sewage treatment plants.
