A first exothermal reaction of the test substance occurred at a temperature of approximately 230°C and led to a temperature of approximately 285°C. Subsequently the temperature of the test substance decreased to the oven temperature again. No self-ignition temperature was observed until the maximum temperature of 409°C.

Executive summary:

A study was conducted to determine the auto flammability of the test substance according to EU Method A.16, in compliance with GLP.

8 cm3 (9.3 g) of the test substance was placed in an oven at 18°C. The temperature/time curve relating to conditions in the centre of the sample was recorded while the temperature of the oven was increased to 409°C at a rate of 0.5 K/min. A first exothermal reaction of the test substance occurred at a temperature of approximately 230°C and led to a temperature of approximately 285°C. Subsequently the temperature of the test substance decreased to the oven temperature again.

 

Under the conditions of the study, no self-ignition temperature was observed until the maximum temperature of 409°C.
