The submission item is not stable in the environment as discussed in the section on biodegradation. Consequently absence in environmental samples is likely.
Nonetheless the submission item was found in landfill leachate secondary effluent (Sang et al. 2008) of industrially contaminated sites. The authors investigated removal from a number of contaminants using a flocculant. The analytical determination allowed calculating removal percentages, but not actual concentrations. Thus the effluent concentration of the submission item remains unknown.
