To assess the bioaccumulation potential of the registered substance, one key study is available.

This study was performed according to the OECD Guideline 305 but without GLP statement in order to determine the extent of accumulation of the registered substance by the carp, Cyprinus carpio, during the exposure period of 8 weeks. Two nominal exposure levels of the test substance were used (10 µg/L for the Level 1 and 1 µg/L for the Level 2; each of means exposure concentrations were about 70% of nominal value). This study was performed at 25 ± 2 °C and the dissolved oxygen concentration was 6.4-7.1 mg/L (level 1) and 6.8-7.3 mg/L (level 2). The test media analysis was performed twice a week (16 times in total during the test period) and the test fish analysis was performed every two weeks (4 times in total during the test period) using Gas chromatograph-Mass spectrometer (GC-MS). The bioconcentration factors (BCFs) after 8 weeks can be understood to have reached to plateau. The BCFs of the test substance were in the range of 14 to 40 at Level 1 and 15 to 56 at Level 2, respectively. No significant difference among the BCFs at two levels was observed and no abnormality in behaviour and appearance was observed. In conclusion, the Bioconcentration factor (BCF) of the test substance is comprised between 14 and 56.
