The estimation by calculation for the vapour pressure of quinic acid is 7.41E-005 Pa.

The estimated values for the vapour pressure of quinic acid calculated by using the Antoine method, Modified Grain method and Mackay method, using EpiSuite v.4.11, differ in a range of > 3.0E-008 Pa and < 1.2E-004 Pa. All used models are calculated for an ambient temperature of 25°C. The calculation of the vapour pressure by the software ChemProp showed a vapour pressure of 7.41E-005 Pa based on the Antoine method, modified by Grain. The vapour pressure based on Watson method, modified by Grain is 8.32E-006Pa. We assume that the Antoine method by EpiSuite v.4.11. and by ChemProp is the same. The differences between the two values result from different melting points and boiling points which were used for the calculation. Nevertheless, the highest vapour pressure of quinic acid is 7.41E-005 Pa, reflecting the most conservative value. Thus, we consider the predicted value to provide an approximation of the vapour pressure, since empirical data has not been observed.
