Additional information

In aquatic toxicity tests performed, no adverse effects were observed. It is therefore concluded that adverse effects on aquatic organisms need not be expected. This conclusion can be extrapolated to sediment and soil by the equilibrium-partitioning method, since any toxicity would be exerted via the water phase (surface water column or pore water). A PNEC hence cannot be derived for surface water, sediment (both freshwater and marine), soil, or for microorganisms in the STP.

The substance has no significant bioaccumulation potential (log Kow < -4.3), hence secondary poisoning is of no concern and a PNEC for predators need not be derived.

In view of the negligible vapour pressure of the substance any effects to the atmospheric compartment need not be expected.

Conclusion on classification

According to Regulation (EC) No. 1272/2008, the test substance is not classified for aquatic hazards: No adverse effects to aquatic organisms were detected up to or even above the limit concentration of 100 mg/L, and the substance lacks any bioaccumulation potential.
