Additional information

The microbial toxicity of the test substance was studied in a non-GLP guideline study with activated sludge according to OECD 209 (BASF, 1991; Rep. no. 1/91/0407/08/1). The 30min EC20 was determined to be 800 mg/L.

In a non-GLP guideline study with Pseudomonas putida growth inhibition test according to Bringmann-Kühn, German Industrial Standards DIN 38412, part 8, the 17h EC50 was determined to be 66 mg/L (BASF, 1990; report no. 9/1890503).

Based on the available information, the inhibition of the degradation activity of activated sludge is not anticipated when introduced in appropriate low concentrations.
