Additional information

The flash point of the test substance was determined in a GLP study (BASF SE, SIK 15/0676) conducted according to (EC) No 440/2008 A.9 using the closed cup method according to Pernsky-Martens (DIN EN ISO 2719). The flash point was determined to be 97 °C at 1013.25 hPa with an accuracy of 0.5 °C.

The flash point determined by the key study was additionally supported by the literature value. The Ullmann's Encyclopedia of Industrial Chemistry (2000) reports a flash point of the test item of 98 °C at 1013.25 hPa. The flash point of 97 °C was regarded as most reliable and therefore chosen as key value for chemical safety assessment.
