Description of key information

Based on the relevant tonnage band no study on terrestrial toxicity needs to be conducted. However, a GLP study following OECD 207 on toxicity to soil macroorganisms is available and was reported to include all available data. The 14d-LC50 of zinc, 5,5'-azobis-2,4,6(1H,3H,5H)-pyrimidinetrione complexes and melamine to earthworm (Eisenia foetida) was higher than the test concentration of 1000 mg/kg dry soil. No toxic effects were determined.

Key value for chemical safety assessment

Short-term EC50 or LC50 for soil macroorganisms:
1 000 mg/kg soil dw
