Please be aware that this old REACH registration data factsheet is no longer maintained; it remains frozen as of 19th May 2023.

The new ECHA CHEM database has been released by ECHA, and it now contains all REACH registration data. There are more details on the transition of ECHA's published data to ECHA CHEM here.

Additional information

Polyol IXOL B350 is a dark brown, viscous liquid with an ether-like odour (Solvay, 2007). The melting point is expected to be below -20 °C, therefore the melting/freezing point study does not need to be conducted. Polyol IXOL B350 is expected to decompose before boiling, therefore the boiling point study does not need to be conducted.

The density is 1.64 g/cm3at 20 °C, the relative density is 1.64, the vapour pressure is 0.0655 Pa at 20 °C, the log Kowranges from -0.03 through 3.3 at 20 °C (the average log Kowvalue is 1.29), the viscosity is 48560 mPa·s at 20°C (NOTOX, 2010) and the water solubility is

4.4 g/L at 20 °C (Solvay Fluor GmbH, 2010). The surface tension is 54.7 mN/m at 20 °C at a concentration of 1 g/L in water. Polyol IXOL B350 is therefore considered to be surface active (NOTOX, 2010). The flash point is 171 ºC at 991 - 1028 hPa (NOTOX, 2010). The self-ignition temperature of the substance is 320 °C at 1016.6 -1022 hPa. The substance is not flammable and is not expected to have explosive and oxidising properties.

As the stability of Polyol IXOL B350 is not considered to be critical, the solubility in organic solvents and the identity of relevant degradation products do not need to be determined. Due to a lack of relevant functional groups, the dissociation constant does not need to be determined.

Determination of the granulometry does not need to be conducted as the substance is marketed or used in a non-solid or granular form.
