Details on results:
As peaks 4 – 7 showed a relative area < 5 %, they were considered as minor peaks.
It is assumed that the test item consists mainly of the peaks 1, 2 and 3. The first peak lie within the dead time of the method and not within the range of log POWs of the reference items. Therefore, the corresponding log POWs should be stated as < 0.3 for peaks 1.
Using the correlation log k / log POW, the log POW of the major components of test item TACOIL was calculated as < 0.3 – 3.607 ± 0.015. (mean ± standard deviation).
