Additional information

The available acute toxicity studies on the substance clearly indicate that fish are not the most sensitive test organism. The acute studies with aquatic invertebrates resulted in effect concentrations lower than a factor of 10. The chronic aquatic hazard is adequately covered with the available chronic study with Daphnia magna. Thus, it is not expected that a long-term study with fish will generate different results than the available results. To avoid unnecessary vertebrate tests and in accordance with Annex IX, column 2 of Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 long-term toxicity testing with fish is not proposed.
